Jackson County Birth Records

JCGL volunteers collect birth records from the Jackson County Courthouse and birth announcements from the Ashland Tidings, Democratic Times, Medford Mail Tribune, and Upper Rogue Independent newspapers. The library has indexed volumes of these birth records for 1863-1926, 1961-1975, and 1988-2007. Indexes were prepared by different volunteers at different times, so their formats vary somewhat. If you find a name of interest to you in one of these indexes but are unable to visit the library, our staff will copy the newspaper clipping containing the reference for you. Just fill out a request form and mail it to us along with a check for $10. Be sure to include the referenced name, the volume year or year range, and the page reference(s) for that name.
