Jackson County Genealogy Library (JCGL) is a not-for-profit institution operated by the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society.
Follow this link, RVGS, to view the Society website and learn about upcoming events on its calendar page.
The library is located in the Rogue River Valley in Southern Oregon. Gold was discovered in the vicinity of Jacksonville in 1852 which led to an enthusiastic gold rush, with miners eagerly pursuing their personal fortunes. Similarly, genealogists searching the JCGL website will be able to find valuable nuggets of information about people who traveled the Oregon Trail to make their homes in this fertile valley. JCGL maintains the largest genealogical collection between Eugene, Oregon and Sacramento, California. This collection has become available to researchers worldwide through indexes posted on our website. We feature Oregon pioneer records and vital records(births, marriages, deaths) but regularly add new indexes and resources. Some of our records are free, for others we charge a nominal handling fee to recover our costs. Follow the links above to see what we have to offer or use the Google Search below to search our site. |
